Ben graduated with a Bachelor in Applied Science in Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 1987. He also obtained Postgraduate Diplomas in Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine from the Otago University in New Zealand, as well as in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from the McKenzie Institute International. In addition, Ben received training in physiotherapy acupuncture and practices dry needling technique.
Ben joined the Edgecliff practice in 2011. Prior to that he worked in public hospitals and private clinics, including his own practice for twelve years. He provided services to the general community as well as to sports clubs, health and fitness centres and in industrial health. For the last 6 years Ben was in London where he worked as a residential physiotherapist in city gyms.
He has a special interest in treating neck and back problems utilising the McKenzie system. This method has an evidence-based approach and involves the patient in self management strategies. The system was developed in New Zealand and is now practised extensively throughout the world.
Ben speaks fluent Chinese and Mandarin.
