Orla Cunningham

Physiotherapist
After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 1999, Orla continued on and completed a postgraduate diploma in Applied Microbiology in 2000. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry in research and development and quality control. It was then she decided that Physiotherapy was the career she wished to follow and graduated for the 3rd time, this occasion with an Honours Bachelor Degree of Science in Physiotherapy in 2005 from St George’s Hospital Medical School in London.
Prior to moving to Australia, she worked in hospitals and private practice settings in London. Her last role was as Musculoskeletal Clinical Specialist with a special interest in low back pain at the South London Healthcare NHS Trust. She was physiotherapist for various rugby and hockey squads including tournament physiotherapist with the Irish U18 Hockey Squad.
She has completed acupuncture training, and has a keen interest in sports injuries and movement dysfunction. She joined the team at Edgecliff in February 2011.
