Andrea is a physiotherapist and passionate advocate of keeping you moving for the sake of your health – no matter what your age or stage of life. She is no happier than when playing Masters Hockey, but practices yoga and tai chi to keep her grounded. She graduated as a physiotherapist from the Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences (now Latrobe University) in 1980.

With over 35 years of healthcare experience she has done  more courses than is possible to list, but is fascinated by the brain, fascia and the role of breathing in persistent pain states. Her treatments are holistic, evidenced informed,  and combine eastern medicine including acupuncture, with movement therapies including Feldenkrais, tai chi, and of course The ‘Key Moves’®.

Andrea is a certified breathing instructor in the ‘Bradcliff Method‘ incorporating use of the Capnotrainer.  This specialization expands the realm of therapy to help people not only with lung disease or dysfunction, but also with anxiety, hyperventilation syndrome, panic attacks, or phobias.

Andrea can help you join the dots in understanding your particular movement or pain problem.  She has the ability to make the complex simple and will make you feel as enthusiastic about your recovery as she is.

So whether it’s back pain, a sports injury, postural concerns, mobility or balance worries, young or old, fit or not you will discover that movement knows no boundaries and has unexplored potential in everyone.

She is a collaborative author of two papers on diagnosis and therapeutic care in spinal pain in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies.
